Using the Bridgeheads

"T" Position

   Used in this configuration, Russo Bridges allow the player to see over several obstructing balls, right to the cue ball. The height needed to reach above the object balls could not be achieved with a single Bridge. If two conventional bridges were used in this manner, the shooter would have no stability while trying to strike the cue ball with "accuracy".  Because Russo bridges interlock, they are "completely stable" when stacked.

Inverted "T" Position

   Used in this configuration, The Russo Bridges raise the cue to the same level as the "T" Position, but because the wider base is used, the shooter gets a better footing.  As the photo shows, even though the cue ball is so far away, the shooter is still capable of striking the ball with "English" on it.

"Ultimate Stack" Position

   Height like this could never be reached with conventional bridges.  Additionally, even if conventional bridges could be stacked this high, there would be no stability!  Because Russo bridges interlock, this configuration can be controlled easily with one hand. Now let go of the bridges and concentrate on making the shot !  Even more amazing is the fact that "draw" can be put on the cue ball, despite the distance.

Single Bridge Use

   Joe Russo realized that at times there is no need to stack a bridge for it to be effective. With this in mind, he designed the Russo bridges to be used as a single stand-alone bridge. But isn't it nice to know that when you need to, you can reach any shot by stacking two bridges?
